Why I Wrote a Book for Small Kids to Learn Python with Dinosaurs

As an experienced software professional, I’ve had my fair share of late nights debugging code and reveling in the joy of finally seeing my programs come to life.
But when it came to introducing my son to the world of programming, I quickly realized that the traditional approaches were not going to cut it.
Programming was a foreign language to him, and Python, despite its reputation for simplicity, was proving to be a tough sell. That’s when it struck me — the key to sparking his interest lay in his most cherished interests: dinosaurs.
I believe that this prehistoric species has a particular level of affection for everyone, especially children.
So, during one of our nightly discussion about dinosaurs, this idea for writing the book “Python for Young Coders — Dino Coding: A Prehistoric Python Adventure” came into my mind.
