I always wonder how can my wife read the entire Bible in 40 lent days every year

One more time, my wife has perused the entire bible. I have been seeing her doing this for more than a decade. She commences on Ash Wednesday and ends it before Easter. She reads it from the first word to the last word without skipping any chapter, verse, or book. That is astounding to me. While we were recuperating from covid, I got the opportunity to ask her, how she read it from “In the Begining” to “Amen” in a limited timeframe and why. Here are a few points I learned from our conversation

Why in Lent days?

Lent is the most important time for Christians around the world, they prepare themselves for the celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus. It is a time of solemn observance, fasting, or giving something up to make our soul ready for resurrection day. Most people give up one or more favourite things like meat or chocolate, and many of them observe the fast very strictly for 40 days.

However, these are the rituals and traditions being practiced for a long time as sacrifices to God, but the important thing is, that it is the moment for us when we can rethink our relationship with Jesus, refocus on our faith, and reorganize our priorities in life.
